Commercial Commercial/mixed use projects of varying size and scale, in Bermuda and overseas, form a significant part of Design Limited's portfolio. In addition to a large number of projects of completed work, the company has also produced many design studies for commercial projects in Bermuda which await financing. Residential The firm’s residential work ranges from condominium developments to single family residential projects. Custom homes and alterations to existing houses of all sizes and degrees of complexity are undertaken by the firm. | People Graeme Fraser Butterworth Principal and Architectural Consultant Dip.Arch (Sheff) R.I.B.A. I.B.A. (Pres.) Fraser Butterworth is Design Ltd.'s Architectural Consultant. Fraser has an independent consultancy (Butterworth Associates) but concentrates all of his professional efforts on behalf of Design Ltd. where he is a significant shareholder. Fraser is well known as one of Bermuda’s leading architectural talents, having worked on the Island for over 25 years during which time he has been a principal of two of the Island's leading architectural practices. Fraser qualified at Sheffield University in the U.K. where he is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and a Registered Architect. During his professional career in Bermuda he became a founding member of Bermuda’s Register of Architects and has been President of the Institute of Bermuda Architects on numerous occasions. Along the way, Fraser has been the principal in charge and designer of many of Bermuda’s largest and most prestigious architectural projects. Peter Adwick Senior Planner B.A. M.A. M.R.T.P.I. Peter has had over 25 years experience in all aspects of planning. This has ranged from assessing planning applications and appearing at planning appeal public inquiries to managing major strategic/master planning projects. Peter is a chartered town planner having qualifications in urban and regional planning and environmental conservation with training also in environmental impact assessment. He was formerly employed in the Department of Planning in Bermuda Government as the Assistant Director responsible for preparing zoning maps, development/master plans, and planning policies and regulations for Bermuda. He has substantial experience in public meetings, presentations, charrettes and in community involvement programmes. |
